With the first England game fast approaching, we’ve been busy looking around Chiswick, and putting a guide together of the best bars, restaurants, pubs and venues to enjoy the FIFA World Cup 2010 this summer.

FIRSTLY, LET’S START WITH THE ENGLAND GAMES.
The first England group games are:
· Saturday 12th June, England v USA, from 7pm
· Friday 18th June, England v Algeria, from 7pm
· Wednesday 23rd June, England v Slovenia, from 3pm

OK, WHAT’S ON AND WHERE?
We’ve put a list together below of some of the places we think are going to be fantastic venues for soaking up the FIFA World Cup 2010 atmosphere.
THE CITY BARGE PUB – STRAND ON THE GREEN, W4 3PH, TEL: 020 8994 2148
If you prefer to be by the river, you’ll still be able to soak in the atmosphere of the World Cup at the City Barge pub, on Strand on the Green. With large widescreen TV’s in both the bottom and top bars, 3 for 4 on pitchers of IPA, table service, special FIFA World Cup 2010 food menu, and an outdoor seating area right by the river you’ll not only never miss a second of the footy, but you’ll be able to sample some great food, refreshing drinks, and chill out in the sun (hopefully) after the game.

The West London hotel and bar have done us Chiswickians proud and put some great packages together to enjoy the games. There’s “Private Screenings” for groups, as well as a “Match Day Special” meal offer for individual fans.
Private Screenings
Groups can book a private room in the hotel and enjoy a three course meal for just £25.00 per person, and are available for groups of 2 to 50. You’ll also have use of a private bar.

Match Day Special
For individuals, The Globe Bar sports three 31 inch screens and one 42 inch screen. The meal offer is priced at £9.99 and includes a choice of main meals, partnered with a drink of the customer’s choosing.

It really is a funny old game with the FIFA World Cup special package at Headliners. On the 12th of June and for only a fiver, you’ll be able to watch England v USA, followed by top stand up with comedian Matthew Hardy.

For something alternative, rumours are afoot that Cineworld will be showing the FIFA World Cup 2010 matches in 3D at its cinemas. We’ve not heard for definite whether this is true, so you’ll need to check back here closer to the first England game, or ring to book to avoid disappointment on the day.
